What's On My Face

This is my (failed) attempt at a beauty blogger-esque/youtuber-esque/instagramer-esque makeup photo. Hahaha. This was taken with my iphone and I know it is not the best quality, but hey, I'm trying. I'm saving up enough money to buy a decent camera that can take better/clearer photos than my iphone. Hopefully I'll get to post good quality and beauty blogger worthy photos soon!

Moving on... I thought of sharing my daily make up. I'll be explaining my routine in a few steps.

The I-want-flawless-skin-but-not-too-cakey step:

I'll squeeze a bit of the Laura Mercier Silk Foundation on my hand and dot it on areas of my face that I want to cover up. I like to look as natural as possible and I think it's important that part of your skin is still showing. So I'll just cover my blemishes/redness/scars and buff it into my skin with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Once everything is blended, I'll use Chanel Loose Powder to set everything in place.

The make-me-look-like-I'm-glowing step:

Y'know how models look like they're always glowing? Here is your answer, Benefit's High Beam. It is my prized possession. I can't bear the thought of parting with this product. It makes me have that model glow without the whole ''I need to eat healthy and work out 5 times a week" thing. I mean, who has time for that when you can get that glow in this bottle. It has a tiny brush connected to the tap opening thing (I don't know what it's called) and I'll swipe it on the high points of my face (cheekbones, bridge of my nose, a tiny bit on my forehead, cupid's bow and a tiny bit on my chin) and blend it with my fingers.

The aww-you-have-rosy-cheeks step:

To complement my glowing-ness (Lol) I need to add a bit of life and colour to my face. I like to use Sleek's Pixie Pink Blush. A little goes a long way and I like to apply with Real Technique's Stippling Brush. You must be like, "whuuuttt? why is this girl using a stippling brush to apply blush?" Well, I feel like this brush allows me to control how I want my blush to look like, does that make sense? I don't know how to explain it, you just have to try it yourself and experience the greatness of this brush as a blush applicator!

The I-want-to-have-big-eyes step:

I curl my lashes and apply Maybelline's Falsies Mascara. There isn't much to write here.

The attempted-Kylie-Jenner-lips step:

Lipliner is the secret, people! Get yourself lipliner and you'll have pouty, fuller lips like Kylie Jenner. I've been using Rimmel's Exaggerate Lipliner in East End Snob. This colour is gorgeous! I line the centre (the thickest part of your lips) to make it look fuller but natural at the same time. If you're going out or feeling a bit daring, line all of your lips for the full Kylie Jenner effect.

The lets-wrap-this-up step:

The final step is lipstick. I've been loving the colour nude as of lately. I purchased Rimmel's Lasting Finish by Kate in 03. This nude lipstick complements my skin tone and gives me that extra glow.

Voila, there you have it. My everyday makeup routine. It takes me about 5 minutes to do the whole makeup which is a plus, because I cannot commit to a routine that takes more than 5 minutes. I am just that lazy (just like Pusheen)

WHY U SO CUTE, PUSHEEN?!?!

Let's Talk About Shoes No 1

I stumbled upon this photo when I was going through Tumblr and I think it's hilarious and had to share it with the world!

Spring is upon us and I can take out (or buy) ankle-bearing shoes. Oh yeah! Lets talk about my faves for spring,

1. T-bar Flats: I have been looking for t-bar flats for ages and I think this is the one. I finally found THE ONE *starts dancing and twirling*

2. Pointed Toe Loafers: Pointed loafers are in trend and this right here, is perfection. (the comma is for added drama when you read it out loud. Lol)

3. Loafer with Heels: Can't you tell? I'm loving pointed shoes right nawww and the block heels are the right height to not make me suffer while walking. Lol.

4. Textured Slip Ons: I am one step closer into building a minimalist wardrobe.

5. Ankle Strap Block Heels: Yeah, sure, heels accentuate my short legs and make it look like I have a few extra inches but heels are painful and I take comfort over pain any day! But this baby gives me just enough height with comfort. The block heels doesn't hurt (that much) my feet and this would look perfect with summer dresses.
