Music Fridays

This week has been a bit melancholy. Maybe it's the January blues (classes just started and I'm still on holiday mode). I came across a new band called Aquilo. Their music is nice to listen to while relaxing at the end of the day. I Gave It All's video is heartbreaking but the cinematography is breathtakingly beautiful!

"it's harder now we're breaking, and I should know it's never right for me to say that I wanted this, I know I can't but I can still recall" - i gave it all by aquilo

There's a second part to video, click here if you want to check it out.

Have a good weekend!

Music Fridays

I've always had a soft spot for sappy sad love songs. To be honest, I am just an emotional person. I tend to put too much thought or "too much feels" into something. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's not. I mean, I can cry when I see someone else cries! What's that about.. Lol.

The song that I chose for today's music fridays is, you guessed it! A sappy sad love song by the all american rejects.

"say the words I cannot say, say them on another day. fragile words like these will cut your tongue."
- i for you by the all american rejects

Music Fridays

Hello Helllloooo!

It's friday and it's my favorite post-- music fridays! today, I would like to share with you a Malaysian singer, Yuna. Yuna has collaborated with Pharrel and was signed to Fader Label. Yuna is getting bigger and bigger globally, which makes us Malaysians proud :) If you want to check her out, here is the link to her website or you can read this article I found online. Without further ado, I give you one of my favorite songs from her latest album, Nocturnal.

"place me in a corner inside your heart, so that you remember baby when i'm gone."
- mountains by Yuna

Have a lovely weekend!

Music Fridays

HEYYYAAAAA!

Last week, my friends and I watched August Osage County. It stars Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. If you haven't seen this movie, go watch it! It's heavy but worth watching (and don't forget the tissues! i guarantee that you will cry. if you don't... are you made of stone? LOL Jokes!) Besides, Meryl Streep is in it. There is no such thing as a bad movie (?/bad performance?) in existence that has her in it! I mean, this woman has been nominated for an academy award 18 times for a reason!

Anyways, when the credits started rolling, this song came on but I didn't recognized that it was last mile home until I got to the chorus and I heard "dreaming on the last mile home" & it hit me! it's an acoustic version & I fell in love with this song even more! I'm gonna stop talking typing and let the song do the "talking"

"maybe i'm the one who's broken, maybe i'm the breaker of the heart."
- last mile home by kings of leon

This post sort of became half a review of a movie and half music fridays. Lolsies! (yes, I am one of those people that say Lolsies.... are we still friends? =P)

I hope you have a lovely weekend!
