Stay in Bed (but with an ocean view)

When a friend of mine goes, “Oh my, I just got back from this place and I did this and I did that,” yada yada yada.. I get it. You’ve recently graduated and you just went on a holiday while I had to cover my face with journals and more journals until this dissertation is over! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate hate them. I’m just not very fond of them at the moment because I'm the green-eyed monster.. I'm jealous as (insert the curse word of your liking here) and I just want to run off to an island and sleep on a huge bed with white crisp sheets and white fluffy pillows. FLUFFY PILLOWS!!! Fluffy pillows are my weakness. I can't jump on a plane just yet, but what I can do is go on Pinterest and search ''bed vacation'' and use this as a motivation to finish up my dissertation!!

Ramblings : The Ballet Post

I used to take ballet when I was younger. I remember when I was 8 years old and my mum told me that my neighbour took ballet class and she suggested that my sister and I to take it. At that time, I didn't know what it was. I didn't know what ballet was and did't think much of it. So, my mum took me and my sister to a dance studio and I was transfixed. There was a class going on and I saw girls in their pink tutus and ballet flats dancing gracefully. It was effortless. I was hooked and my mum signed my sister and I up.

I did ballet for about 3 years and was madly in love. I am not ashamed to say this but I was good at it. I've never been the academia type. I didn't really get good grades but I had something that I was good at and that was ballet. My teachers loved me and I loved them. I remember getting excited for a class and wearing my pink leotards and tutu skirt and of course, the ballet flats.

Sadly, my friends in school didn't think ballet was cool and I was teased for it. I stopped going to class and I remember my teachers would call my house phone and asking why wasn't I in class. I truly was sad and up until today, I regret leaving ballet. I regret stopping-- because of what people thought. I shouldn't have cared about what others thought of it. Regardless, I cherish my days of being a ballerina and now, I do things I love for me and not for others. Hey, maybe one day I could take up an adult ballet class & rejoice the feeling of joy I used to get when I did ballet.

Outfit Inspiration

I've been so bored with my ''style'' I've been meaning to revamp my wardrobe but being a student with a tight budget, I can't necessarily just go on a shopping spree.. but what I can I do is to save up and buy these items (or similar items) in the near future. I've been wanting to go minimalist/very Scandinavian in terms of my fashion style. My current favourite Youtubers are these fashionable girls from Sweden, TheLineUp. They're so stylish, I want their closet! I got inspired by them and created an outfit inspiration in hopes that I get to wear them once I have these items!

I hope you get inspired too!

February Wishlist

Hiiiiii!

My oh my, it's february already. This year, my aim is to minimise my spendings so that I can save up for travelling around Europe. I need to stop spending and save up! This year, I'm hoping to go to Spain, Portugal and Hungary *fingers crossed* Regardless, there is nothing wrong with making a wishlist for clothes and beauty, imma right?

My first item is this beautiful flowy off-the shoulder crop top from Asos. I would pair this with high waisted jeans or a high waisted skirt and delicate jewellery. I'm already in love just thinking about styling this top.

My second item is a navy top from Zara. It's all in the details, baby. The embroidered cuff makes this top special. Can you imagine, wearing this top with a leather jacket and you take the sleeve of the top out a bit so the cuff can be seen? Gorgeous!

My third item is a beauty product from Aesop. I've been looking for a mask and I've heard great reviews from this one! I've used Aesop's moisturisers before and I would love to try another product from Aesop. Besides, the packaging is sahh cute!

My fourth item is a shopper bag from Zara. I don't have a big shopper bag in my bag collection. So, why not?

Lastly, items 5 and 6 are both from & Other Stories. I am trying to wear more delicate jewellery and these two would be a great addition to my not-so impressive jewellery collection.

January Favourites

Hiiiii

I don't have that much of favourites for the month of January but I found some ah-mazing things that has made my January pretty good.

Outfit:

Chelsea Boots from Asos (similar, similar)

I think my heart literally skipped a beat when I saw this on Asos' sale section. It was only £25 and I clicked Add to Basket straight away. Sadly, it's out of stock but I found something similar in the link above :) I'm almost scared of taking it out into the world because it's just so pretty....

Beauty:

I've been wanting to try Bioderma solution for ages but the price is 'justridiculous! So I never got around into trying it. Then along came Garnier's micellar water and I thought, "why not?" As soon as my make-up remover ran out, I went straight to Boots and got myself the micellar water. I have sensitive skin and this doesn't sting my skin or my eyes at all! It removes eyeliner and mascara pretty well after two wipes (with my previous make-up remover, it would take me about 4/5 wipes before everything clears up around my eyes :/) Lastly, I've been wanting to get some colour on my skin (winter just makes me feel like a pale vampire.. i need some tan yo) I picked this liquid bronzer and I must say, I is loving this! I put it on the top of my cheeks and the hollow of my cheeks (as if you're contouring your face) and it just changes your whole look. I look brighter and there's this glow. Once you go bronze, you can never go back! Lolllllll.

Music:

Sia's voice, that little girl dancing and an almost naked Shia Labeouf, need I say more?

I wish you all an amazing February!
